CDGS is a not for profit league which strives to provide opportunities to all players regardless of ability to pay for fees/registrations. If you are unable to pay the fee/registration at the time of registration please reach out to the League Treasurer, Travis Parry at   to work out a payment plan or to arrange for volunteer opportunities to cover the fee/registration. Families with outstanding balances also need to reach out to the League Treasurer to make arrangements to either pay off their balance, work out a payment plan or arrange for volunteer opportunities to cover the fee/registration BEFORE registering for any additional CDGS programming.

 

As a member of the Little League Organization, every player must provide proof of their age in the form of a Birth Certificate. If your player is in Minor A, Majors, or Juniors, we will also require proof that they reside or attend a school within the CDGS boundaries.  

To meet the residency requirement, you will need to provide the league with the SCHOOL ENROLLMENT FORM or various PROOF OF RESIDENCY documentation.  You can click on the embedded links or you can find them on the Documents tab under the CDGS menu on our home page.  It is recommended that you bring these documents with to the player evaluations or email them to the Player Agent at .

2020 Summer T-Ball

Eligibility

The T-Ball Division includes players who are league ages 4 to 6 who are new to softball. This is an instructional division which includes fundamentals of the game such as hitting, fielding, throwing, catching, and baserunning.  We will also teach the players about being great teammates and having a fun time.

Note:  If your player is League Age 6 and has no previous playing experience, we would recommend registering them for T-Ball.  If they have at least 1 year of T-Ball experience and would like to play in the Minor B division, they will be required to attend a player evaluation in early March to determine eligibility to play in Minor B.  Please choose this option on the T-Ball registration page if you are interested.  The player evaluations will not guarantee that they will be moved up to the higher division.  This will be based on the evaluation results and will be discussed with the parents/guardians and the player agent.

Cost

The cost for the T-Ball season is $145.  This will include a player jersey, socks, visor, weekly games, and practices.  Every family will have the opportunity to earn $50 in the form of a reimbursement by volunteering 4 hours to various league activities during the season.  There will be an early bird discount of $15 available if you register by January 19thNOTE:  YOU MUST PAY FOR REGISTRATION BY THE EARLY BIRD END DATE OR THE DISCOUNT WILL BE REMOVED

2020 Summer Minor B

 

Eligibility

The Minor B Division in Illinois District 13 is comprised of league ages 6 to 9 who are new to softball and Little League. This is an instructional division which includes coach pitch and will focus on the fundamentals of the game.  Here is an age chart to help determine registration eligibility for your player since there could be overlap with the T-Ball and Minor A levels.

League Age 6 - If your player is League Age 6 and has no previous playing experience, we would recommend registering them for T-Ball.  Any player who is league age 6 does have the option to be evaluated for the Minor B division.  The results of the evaluation will be discussed with the parents to determine which division CDGS would recommend the player enrolls in for the upcoming season.

League Age 7 - Qualifies for Minor B and will be required to attend player evaluation.

League Age 8 - Qualifies for Minor B.  League Age 8 years old with previous playing experience may have the opportunity to move up to the Minor A Division. To determine if a player is eligible, they must attend the player evaluation. If interested, you may select this option during the registration process.

League Age 9 - If your player has never played softball, it is recommended that they register and play in Minor B to get experience.   If they would like to play in Minor A, they must attend the player evaluation to determine eligibility.  If interested, you may select this option during the registration process.

2020 Summer Minor A

Eligibility

This registration is for the CDGS Minor A Division.  The Minor A Division is an instructional division for League Ages 8 to 10 years of age.  League age 8 and 9-year old players should have at least one year of softball experience or it is recommended to register for the Minor B Division.  This level will consist of Player/Coach pitch for the first half of the season and Player pitch only the remainder of the season.

Cost

The cost for the Minor A season is $220.  This will include a player jersey, socks, visor, 16-18 games, practices, and metro tournament at the end of the season.  Every family will have the opportunity to earn $50 in the form of a reimbursement by volunteering 4 hours to various league activities during the season.  There will be an early bird discount of $15 available if you register by January 19thNOTE:  YOU MUST PAY FOR REGISTRATION BY THE EARLY BIRD END DATE OR THE DISCOUNT WILL BE REMOVED

Evaluations

All players eligible for the Minor A Division must attend the player evaluations, which will take place in early March.  This will give the player agent, league officials, and team managers the opportunity to assess the skills and experience of every player to determine and recommend their appropriate placement in their eligible division(s).  If your player is League Age 10 with previous playing experience, they could have the opportunity to move up to the Majors Division depending on their evaluation results.  If interested, please select this option during the registration process.

Competition

This Division does keep score during the games and is eligible to compete for the Little League Illinois State Championship.  The Minor A Division has an end of the season Little League District 13 single elimination tournament (Metro Tournament) for all teams. Teams are seeded by a point system based on the regular season record.

2020 Summer Majors

Eligibility

This registration is for the CDGS Majors Division.  The Majors Division is comprised of players of league age 10 to 12 who are experienced softball players looking for a competitive level of play.

The cost for the Majors season is $240.  This will include a player jersey, socks, visor, 14-16 games, practices, and metro tournament at the end of the season.  Every family will have the opportunity to earn $50 in the form of a reimbursement by volunteering 4 hours to various league activities during the season.  There will be an early bird discount of $15 available if you register by January 19thNOTE:  YOU MUST PAY FOR REGISTRATION BY THE EARLY BIRD END DATE OR THE DISCOUNT WILL BE REMOVED

All players eligible for the Majors Division must attend the player evaluations, which will take place in early March.  This will give the player agent, league officials, and team managers the opportunity to assess the skills and experience of every player to determine and recommend their appropriate placement in their eligible division(s).  If your player is new to softball and you are concerned about their development, they do have the option of playing in Minor A.  Contact the Player Agent to discuss more details.  If your player is League Age 12 with previous playing experience, they could have the opportunity to be moved up to the Juniors Division or be Dual Rostered on Major and Junior Division Teams.  If interested, please select this option during the registration process.

Competition

This Division does keep score during the games and is eligible to compete for the Little League Illinois State Championship.  The Majors division has an end of the season Little League District 13 single elimination tournament (Metro Tournament) for all teams. Teams are seeded by a point system based on the regular season record.

This registration is for the CDGS Juniors Division.  The Juniors Division is comprised of players of league age 12 to 14 who are experienced softball players looking for a competitive level of play.

2020 Summer High School

Eligibility

This registration is for the CDGS High School Division.  The High School Division is comprised of players of league age 14 to 18 who are experienced softball players looking for a competitive level of play.

Cost

The cost for the High School season is $205.  This will include a player jersey, socks, visor, 14-16 games, practices, and tournaments during the season.  Every family will have the opportunity to earn $50 in the form of a reimbursement by volunteering 4 hours to various league activities during the season.  There will be an early bird discount of $15 available if you register by January 19thNOTE:  YOU MUST PAY FOR REGISTRATION BY THE EARLY BIRD END DATE OR THE DISCOUNT WILL BE REMOVED
